Miss India   competition is an annual beauty pageant which gives a platform for young budding girls to come and represent India and be a part of fashion and entertainment industry. Top celebrities from Bollywood and fashion industry be a part of the show that has 21 contestants from different cities and states ofIndia competing for the title.
There are always a lot of expectations from Miss India as the winner of the show will be representing India at International beauty pageants. The winner of the Miss India   title not only bags the chance to represent India but also becomes the face of various brands and fashion industry while it also opens a chance to be a part of Bollywood entertainment industry.

Miss India not only tests the beauty aspects but also checks confidence and knowledge of the contestant as the final question and answer round is considered to be the deciding factor of who will be winner of the show. 

 Miss India - Rounds & Details

Miss India is a credible beauty pageant owned by Times Group. In this event, Miss India team tours 18 cities segregated into North, East, West, South zones. The pageant is a platform to explore and bring young beautiful and charismatic young girls for fashion, lifestyle and entertainment industry.

In this competition, city wide auditions are carried out in different cities such Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dehradun, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow, Nagpur, Chandigarh, Pune, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore.

The participants shortlisted from the city get a chance to join the final round in Mumbai. In Miss India   only 21 contestants will get a chance to appear for the final round in which there will be multiple catwalk rounds and ultimately a question & answer round to decide the Miss India Winner

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Height (5'5" and above) and 18-25 of age (25 as of 31st December 2017)Single, Unmarried and Not Engaged Indian Passport Holder/Overseas Indian Citizen26 & 27 years old can only compete for the Runner-up positions as the eligibility for Miss World is 18-25

PLEASE NOTE

Citizen of India who holds an Indian passport and has temporarily immigrated to another country for six months or more for employment, residence, education or any other purpose. Overseas Citizenship of India [OCI] card holder, the citizens who come under this category enjoy all the rights of an Indian citizen as any other citizen holding an Indian passport. OCI Card holder cannot be the winner of Miss India but can only be the first or second runners up and can represent India at other International Pageants. There would be NO Bikini/Swimwear round during auditions.


Format of Miss India Competition

In order to participate in Miss India, you need to fill the registration form and submit it online. The competition has certain guidelines and rules that need to be followed otherwise makers of the show can cancel your participation in Miss India. The terms and conditions are mentioned below.

  • The height of the participant must be at least five feet and six inches or above.
  • The participant must be between the ages of 18-25 years till last date 31st Dec.
  • The participant must not be married or engaged
  •  Every participant must hold a valid passport verified by Embassy.
Apart from above participation criteria, there are certain official documents that must be submitted in order to validate participation in event. This may include following details.
  •  An age proof document need to be submitted which may include driving license, school leaving certificate, pan card, passport etc.
  •  A valid address proof document must be provided during registration. It may include official government document such as voter ID card etc.
 Above documents must be furnished without fail otherwise your participation in Miss India could be cancelled.

As per the format of the show, there will be 21 Miss India Contestants competing for the crown and have to go through the rigorous rounds and competition. Out of 21 contestants, top 5 participants will enter the final question & answer round.

Format of FBB Femina Miss India 2017 Competition


1.  Miss India this year shall be touring across 30 states which shall be divided into 2 categories i.e. State Auditions and State crowning. It clearly specifies strong steps have been taken to collect best contenders from across the country.

2. The auditions in state shall be performed as one day event. The contestants shortlisted shall approach towards the next level.

3. These 30 states shall be divided into four zones, and each zone shall hold a crowning ceremony for the zonal winner. The zonal winner shall then finally approach Mumbai for final audition. 
4. As 30 states will be segregated into 4 zones, each zone is going to have a separate mentor. They shall ensure that applicants are given good training and are groomed in the right way to represent states and country ahead in future.

5. The bikini round has been waved off this year (2017)from the audition. Hence aspirants need not have to go through the swim suit round this year.

CONCLUSION OF MISS INDIA

Miss India   is a beauty pageant of India which may include participants from neighboring countries such as Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Burma. The main objective of this event is to bring beautiful girls from different states of India and provide a common platform to represent India on International platform and celebrate beautiful culture. There are certain criteria and guidelines which every participant must meet in order to participate in the competition.
About Femina Miss India 2016
Femina Miss India 2016 finale held on 9th April 2016 in Mumbai and Priyadarshini Chatterjee was crowed former Miss India 2015 Aditi Arya as the winner of beauty pageant. She represented India at Miss Universe 2016. Sushruthi Krishna was first runner up and PankhuriGidwani was declared as second runner up. 
It’s been a hatrick for New Delhi as in 2016, it was third time a winner was crowned from Delhi. Priyadarshini Chatterjee is the third Delhi Girl after Koyal Rana (Miss India 2014) and Aditi Arya (Miss India 2015).Manushi Chhillar from Haryana is the Winner of Miss India 2017& Miss World 2017.
